There aren't enough days in a weekend.

My weekend basically consisted of Michelle's leaving party. We had dinner Saturday night on the 52nd floor of the Sumitomo building in Tokyo. We ate sushi, white fish and green tea tofu and drank lots of wine and beer. I wore my new Marc Jacobs top!
After that we went dancing in Shinjuku til the morning.
On Sunday we went to Harajuku and Michelle bought a really nice pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses.
Ahhhh!!! I'm going to miss you Michelle :( xxx

I was reading about Charles Dickens yesterday and apparently his last words were:
"For the writer that is natural has fulfilled all the rules of art."
I think it has changed my life.
Hat: French Connection.
Vests: Uniqlo.
Shorts: H and M (customised)
Boots: Prada.
Bracelet: Gucci / Topman.

Today is insanely lovely outside. Look at the sun just shining in my place!!

The credit card company would like to speak with you Sir...

Some clothes I've bought over the last couple of weeks or so.....

Walter Van Beirendonck S/S10 Wonder collection.

Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S10 Fiesta cheetah flock tee with zip detail - the zip detail is INSANE!! Looks amazing on!
Zara khaki drop crotch shorts - love the back pocket detail on these!
H & M mens print shorts. I like the colours on these and they remind me of the McQueen reptile print collection (RIP baby)

The length was a little boring so I turned them up and added pins. I thought they went with the print - a sort of rib cage effect. I used about 400 pins and it took me 3 hours lol :/

Back of the shorts.

True to my style, apart from the Beirendonck top, I haven't had chance to wear any of this out and photograph it etc. I'm planning on wearing the MJ top tomorrow though so we'll see.

Mid week.

On Wednesday night I went for dinner with my 'japanese family'. I call them that as that is exactly what they are. Kenichi and his wife Tomiko have taken care of me and shown me such kindness and help over the last six years that I know I can never repay or thank them enough. Some of the kindest and most considerate people I know I will ever meet.

The food! We ate homemade sushi, steak, gobo salad, squid ink yaki soba amongst other things.

Some pictures of their house. The house dates back over 500 years and has been in the family for all         that time.

Kenichi amongst some of his family shrines.

    Lots of waving cats!

This is a huge plaque he has hanging over the entrance hall. It's a collection of prayers and blessings     given by Buddhist priests to his family over a period of 200 years that have been collected. The most       recent lay on top. The dark mass you can see is the layers of old paper/ prayers.

These beans are the original wooden beams that have always been in the house. He had them  removed, treated and restored when the house was remodeled (which took over six months).

That's all!
