Tuesday 24 February 2009

I've had a bit of a lazy weekend. My friends went back to England on Sunday and since then I've pretty much stayed in. Tokyo is rainy and cold today. I went out before to get some lunch and ended up finding a new vintage boutique that specialises in Rick Owens, Dior Homme, Comme Des garcons and Vivienne Westwood. I almost DIED!! Not only because of what was in their; bags, jewellery, clothes you name it.....but because it was full of my fave. brands and all so cheap too! I ended up buying some amazingly low, black drop crotch three quarter pants from CDG and two tshirts from Westwood. No idea what season any of them are from. I am now BROKE!!!! Between this, my friends coming here and those annoying things called BILLS, i am now looking hot but broke hahaha! I was going to post pics today but i'm being lazy. Will do this week. So excited about the pants though yeeha! i haven't even watched that many fashion shows online. What's going on? I need to also start researching an article I'm writing for a certain paper. however, Tokyo fashion week is coming up and seriously mmm I'm just not that nothered. EEK!

Still without dream backpack :(

Probably the best music video I have seen in a long, long time...and it's been out a year.I just heard of them....yay to being in Japan! Omg the backwards pan shot, forwards and cut to the ice skating is amazing visually! Makes me wish I didn't give up my production career so much....but not that much ;-)

japanese music.

I rarely, if ever, get into japanese music as it's just saturated with bubblegum cutesy pop crap but having heard this several times by サカナクション I not only love it as the beats pretty wicked but I WANT the Nikes he's wearing so bad! They are so up my street. They're at the 1.17 mark if you wanna see them!

new bag.

I've decided I need to invest in a bag that I usually find vile and don't want to touch....this being a backpack! I know, right?

well, the thing is.....I am out the house working from roughly 9am to 10pm five fucking days a week. There's so much crap I need to carry around with me and it doesn't include my macbook...although I'd like it too. I carry notebooks, glasses, japanese text books plus study book, japanese dictionary, pens, camera..it goes on! My current *couple of bags* I use are fantastic although I don't want to ruin them so I'm now on the lookout for said backpack.

There's that many cool, little independent designers all around Tokyo though that I'm going to go on a witch hunt to find the perfect one. Watch this space for pic updates!

VW new campaign.

Why? That's all.

to say I look done in is an under-statement but whatever, eh? It happens :)

Birthday weekend.

To say I am still recovering from the weekend is an under-statement! Friday night was spent having pre-birthday drinks in Ebisu, in which I stumbled home on the last train. I got home though and this was waiting for me:

There was a nice cake, a big bottle of marc jacobs eau de toilette and a bottle of Moet imperial. He scored some extra points and I was very happy! :)

Saturday day was spent watching the new Bond movie. Saturday night was drinks at mine followed by Shibuya then onto Air in Daikanyama. We had so much fun it was fantastic! I won't bore you with the details but I stumbled home around 7am with a huge grin on my face and a birthday balloon tied to my wrist.

Tshirt was from Graniph.
Scarf from Vivienne Westwood.
Bracelet from Gucci.

So today I thought I had it all right in thinking it was the Hiroko Koshino fashion show/exhibition I was invited to. I'd invited a photographer friend to come and we were to meet in Ebisu at Garden hall at 4.30. So we got all the way to the elevator, only to ask the security guard who told us it was on the 5th!!!!!!! I felt like such a dick! Anyway we laughed it off, went for a coffee at Begulo and had a good catch up!

Oooh ps can anyone identify? She is stunning if you ask me:
