Last of fashion week.

So we went down to the Dresscamp show which, in my opinion is in a league of it's own in Japan.It's really in demand in England ~as far as I know~ but the label keeps refusing to distribute it abroad. Which is kinda cool.
I loved the crochet leggins that ran throughout as well as the colour palette of black, white, purple and forest green. The coats were reminiscent of this season's burberry prorsum but it was something new for dresscamp as usually they focus on light jackets.... so let's let that slide. Interesting prints on the dresses though, as always.

Dresscamp is such an amazing label with so much potential. I wish they would just get over this pretentious 'keep it in Japan' attitude. I know they are expanding to a few locations in Asia but I really think they have great potential in the European and American market.

I love how they've captured this quintessential english *rock* attitude in the photos. This 'we don't give a fuck' end of the night, everyone streamingly drunk rock and roll vibe. Even the old school pint glasses. Spot on art direction.

So it's Tokyo fashion week again. So far it's been kinda fun. A bit quiet I feel compared to last season but some shows have been fun nonetheless.



My favourite so far was Aguri Sagimori who's palette consisted mainly of black. Usually not a fan of all black but the cuts were very feminine yet the fabrics were a mix of light silks and wool.A lot of black dresses with surprising silver back detail that shon out. it kinda worked. I think her collection has been one of the strongest so far. She also included some interesting head pieces which looked like silver butterflies. Not too sure though as I couldn't make it out properly. Nothing new I suppose but a lot of the Tokyo collections seem to forget about accessories etc and focus mainly on the clothes so it was nice to see.

I remember one night, not so long back in fact, when I was home by myself and the wind was hollering outside. It whispered between fence panels and you could hear the trees swaying as if something wrong had been said or done. Like the earth was angry. Something in the air that you can't explain. If you can't see it then how can you prove it's there, right? But it was. And I felt it.

Uneasiness isn't something I deal well with. Perturbed. At first they creep. And you can't stop it and they start to run. It becomes unstoppable. As you cower on the other side of the fence, you see what should protect you but you can't feel it anymore. You feel as vulnerable as the nature that hollers on the other side. And as they whisper, you now hear what they are saying. And maybe you're sorry. For what? Maybe you don't even know. But you are sorry.

Tokyo has been so cold and miserable the last couple of days. Everyone is in a funk, plus I have the sniffles. Spring needs to show the fuck up now!
