One thing i miss about The UK is THE HIGHSTREET!!! Seriously, the British highstreet is such a good place to go shopping, especially women. i found this article today in the guardian online outlining ten great party dresses for xmas.
Of course, if you're thinking in terms of fabrics and quality, then obviously they are going to pale in comparison to a high end brand. That said, the high street designers should be given merit as they are on the ball with design, print and cut. Why shouldn't the average person be denied what's going on in Vogue?
here's the article:

i especially loved the Primark dress. And it is only 15 quid!!!

I don't know how to feel about the last few days and the events that have gone on. Both here and away, it's like a domino effect of negativity.
To be sat at home with my friends now, in my local pub away from the big cities, the vibrant, extravagant looks, the wannabes scratching and screaming to be seen as the most original, inventive and creative. Sitting amongst real people, with nothing to hide, who have real stories etched on their faces.
To laugh and be understood instantly. To come home and have my parents glance round when I walk through the door. The usual joke about what I had been doing or who with or what was I thinking when I chose to wear what I did. I suppose that is happiness to me. As much as I usually tell myself it isn't, I always seem to fall back on it when I don't feel the best.

Natasha Poly for Muse
Natasha Poly for Muse:
The shot with the ribbon: breathtaking.
Natasha Poly is without doubt the closest to a supermodel there is today. And gold stars for the Japan influence ;-)

Apologies for my lateness. i've been shopping! No seriously, I spent an amazing week in Boracay, had friends visit from England and then now it's fashion week. More to come soon but...........
Vogue Paris:Novemeber 09
People are going crazy calling the cover cheap looking but I for one, fucking love it! It's fun, fresh and er...isn't that exactly what Vogue is 'supposed' to be about? Place the last 25 covers of American Vogue side by side and they'll merge into one look. Place Paris` and there's something new EVERY TIME!
CARINE <3
More to come later I promise! xox

miu miu f/w09
I was looking back through some of the collections for A/W09 and miu miu is without a doubt one of my favourites. Just the heaviness and quality of the fabrics and use of contrasting also. I love how she went for a more bourgeoise look circa 1930s feel - if i can say that? Yet at the same time, it's quite erotic. i love the see through open shirt teamed with a firmer block skirt and tights. Definitely wow!

Brad Pitt is one of those actors who we all wanted to hate simple because of his, fuck you, i have it all persona. Right? Well actually no. He has so stood the test of time, in the spotlight blah blah, the pressure i cannot imagine, yet he does not cave. You are talking about one of the most - if not - most speculated, good looking actor of our times. The man still chooses to not conform and continue to grow old(er) gracefullly. I LOVE and respect the man so much more for this. Who wants to see some tucked up, uneven facial mess when you can have this authentic glamour. He has chosen great roles. Proved he can act and is not just a pretty face. And stood right in front of that camera and said, this is who I am.
Amazing! you can never confuse legend with mess.
looking a-MAH-zing!
